Myo-Neural Techniques ®

MyoNeural Techniques are a set of treatment procedures and protocols devised by Siji Kuruvilla, Director of Wetaskiwin Physical Therapy. Having acquired over 20 years of experience in both academics and clinical side working with musculoskeletal, sports, soft tissue injuries, and chronic pain patients and with a thorough understanding of biomechanical dysfunctions — such as soft tissue tension, joint derangements, and joint accessory movement disorders — he developed and trademarked MyoNeural Techniques in Physical Therapy treatment.

Lasting approximately 6-8 weeks, MyoNeural Techniques are effective in treating musculoskeletal pain and injuries which are the prime reasons for disability around the world. Musculoskeletal pain and injuries affect nearly one in five people, including children. The efficacious procedures and protocols are capable of managing chronic pain, headaches, low back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, hip pain, ankle pain, neck pain, and injuries from post motor vehicle accidents. MyoNeural Techniques use a combination of interventions involving joint mobilization, biomechanical taping, IMS, myofascial stretching and active release techniques, and regional strengthening and flexibility training to complete the treatment.
